The home styling tv shows are amazing and they make everything seem really obvious and easy, just take down a wall, open up a kitchen area and build an extension on to a garden area all within thirty minutes, amazing. 

Then back in real time you start to wonder whether any of it is possible. Then after a lot of thought you talk yourself out of the idea as it would be too much to take on and not necessary. 

However, homes do need work to update them, to meet our current life-style choices. Space for children, grandchildren and even our work lives is completely different from what has gone before, and very rarely do our houses meet our needs.
